About Us
The Strategy Team within Energy Distribution at E.ON plays a central role in setting direction and goals for the company's strategic initiatives. Through our work, we ensure that our strategic goals align with established business objectives and investments. Driven by the energy transition, we are developing the power grid of the future – a grid that meets tomorrow's needs, strengthens Swedish competitiveness, and contributes to a sustainable future. This is achieved by driving strategies in digitalization, innovation, and investments, as well as by optimizing the power grid and enabling more efficient utilization – not least through increased transparency and controllability in our networks. In this way, we create a clear and future-proof path forward.

About the Role
As a Strategy Advisor, you will work broadly on issues concerning the development of the energy system, the operability and controllability of the grid, and how we drive a sustainable and data-driven strategy for the future of electricity distribution.
In your role, you will analyze technological shifts, regulatory requirements, customer needs, and internal prerequisites to provide direction in critical decisions regarding investments, the development of critical resources, and system solutions. You possess a strong ability to grasp external requirements and their impact on the power grid business in Sweden and Europe. A central part of the work is to collaborate closely with our business units with a deep understanding of our operational aspects, translating this into a clear strategic direction. Where data-based decisions hold great value – from how we collect and quality-assure data to how we use it to optimize both today's and tomorrow's power grids.
The role is at the heart of E.ON's digital transformation, where automated operational solutions, machine learning, and new digital capabilities drive tomorrow's grid solutions. You will work closely with functions within operational management and control centers, technical specialist functions within power grids and asset management, as well as strategy and management functions. Through this collaboration, you create alignment and drive change in an organization where technical choices, business priorities, customer requirements, and regulatory frameworks need to be balanced.

Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a technical foundation combined with strategic thinking and a genuine interest in the development of energy systems. You are likely a civil engineer or have equivalent education with experience in electricity distribution or energy systems, preferably with elements of digitalization or advanced operational and control systems.
We appreciate that you have an understanding of how power grids function in practice and how digital technology, data flows, and automation affect operations, planning, and long-term investments. You thrive at the intersection of technology, data, business, and societal development, and you easily see connections in the entire chain – from regulatory requirements and customer expectations to technical decisions and grid capacity.
As a person, you are analytical, communicative, and confident in creating structure even in complex issues. You are accustomed to collaborating with technical specialists and can simultaneously take a broader view to describe the whole and motivate strategic choices. You drive change by engaging and creating understanding rather than simply pointing out a direction.
